Fragen
What is the easiest thing to sew first?
An envelope pillow cover: three rectangles, straight seams and no zip or buttons. The overlapping back panels make the opening, so it teaches cutting, pinning, a seam allowance and a hem in one evening.
What do I need for these sewing patterns?
Woven cotton or cotton canvas, matching thread, a sewing machine (or a needle for hand sewing), pins, fabric scissors, a ruler and an iron. Each pattern lists its exact fabric amount and cut sizes.
Do I need a printed paper pattern?
No. Every piece in these patterns is a rectangle with its cut size written out, so you measure and mark straight onto the fabric.
Are the PDFs free?
Yes. Each pattern can be read in full on its page, and the printable PDF (US Letter and A4) is free with a Craftuary account.
