What you'll make
2 pieces (Cob, Husk), 24 rounds in all, every round with its stitch count written at the end so you can check as you go.
Tips
- Work in continuous spiral rounds and move your stitch marker up every round.
- Count your stitches at the end of each round; the number in brackets is what you should have.
- Use a hook a size smaller than your yarn label suggests, so the stuffing doesn't show.

Assembly
- Stuff the Cob firmly before closing it, and leave a long tail of colour A. The magic ring end is the tip.
- Embroider the rows of kernel texture on the cob around Rnds 4-18 with colour C. Short vertical stitches in deep gold, in neat columns all around.
- Sew the husks to the cob between Rnds 19 and 20. Three husks spaced evenly around the base, each pinched into a point first so they look like peeled-back leaves, points up.
- Weave in all ends.
