What you'll make
8 pieces (Body, Head, Beak, Wattle, Gold Feather, Orange Feather, Wing, Foot), 52 rounds in all, every round with its stitch count written at the end so you can check as you go.
Tips
- Work in continuous spiral rounds and move your stitch marker up every round.
- Count your stitches at the end of each round; the number in brackets is what you should have.
- Use a hook a size smaller than your yarn label suggests, so the stuffing doesn't show.
- Make one for each place setting, or a few together as a table centrepiece.

Assembly
- Before closing the Body, stuff it firmly; then close it and leave a long tail of colour A.
- Sew the head to the body between Rnds 1 and 3. Centred on the top front of the body.
- Sew the beak to the head at Rnd 6. Centred on the face.
- Sew the wattle to the head at Rnd 7. Just under the beak.
- Embroider the two small eyes on the head at Rnd 5 with colour D. About 5 stitches apart, above the beak.
- Flatten each feather and each wing (do not stuff) and sew their open ends closed.
- Sew the gold feathers to the body between Rnds 4 and 8. On the back of the body, opposite the head, in an upright fan: one in the middle and the others spreading out to each side.
- Sew the orange feathers to the body between Rnds 4 and 8. Between the gold feathers, so the seven make an upright fan, alternating gold and orange.
- Sew the wings to the body between Rnds 6 and 10. One on each side, hanging down along the body.
- Sew the feet to the body between Rnds 14 and 15. Side by side at the front of the base, flat side down, so the turkey stands on them; stuff them lightly first.
- Weave in all ends.
