FREE  Lesson 4 of 5

Increase (kfb) and decrease (k2tog)

To increase, knit into the front of a stitch but leave it on the needle, then knit into the back of the same stitch and slip it off: one stitch becomes two (kfb). To decrease, put the right needle through the next two stitches together and knit them as one: two stitches become one (k2tog). This is a simplified diagram, not real hands.
