FREE Lesson 1 of 1
Ribbing alternates knit and purl stitches in the same row: here two knit stitches, then two purl stitches (k2, p2). Between them the yarn is brought to the back for knit stitches and to the front for purl stitches. This is a simplified diagram, not real hands: the yarn is a smooth tube, each stitch is a plain loop, and the moving of the yarn between front and back is not drawn.
A simplified 3D diagram, not a recording of real hands. Something unclear or wrong? Report a problem.
