Assembly

  1. Stuff the Body firmly before closing it, and leave a long tail of colour A.
  2. Sew the hat to the body at Rnd 5. Pulled down over the top of the body, covering the magic ring, its open edge sewn all the way around at Rnd 5; the white rounds make the cuff.
  3. Sew the nose to the body between Rnds 6 and 7. Centred on the front, just under the white cuff.
  4. Beard: cut 40 strands of colour C, each 12 cm (5 in) long. Fold each strand in half and knot it through a stitch (a fringe knot) on the front of the body between Rnds 7 and 10, under the nose, about 9 stitches wide. Trim the beard to a point about 4 cm (1.5 in) long and brush it lightly.
  5. Thread a length of colour B through the tip of the hat and tie into a hanging loop.
  6. Weave in all ends.
