What you'll make
3 pieces (Candle, Base, Flame), 25 rounds in all, every round with its stitch count written at the end so you can check as you go.
Tips
- Work in continuous spiral rounds and move your stitch marker up every round.
- Count your stitches at the end of each round; the number in brackets is what you should have.
- Use a hook a size smaller than your yarn label suggests, so the stuffing doesn't show.

- Embroider the three wax drips in chain stitch on the candle around Rnds 4-7 with colour B. Starting at the edge of the flat top and running straight down the side, spaced evenly around, of different lengths (2, 3 and 4 rounds).
- Embroider the two black eyes on the candle at Rnd 10 with colour D. On the front between two drips, about 4 stitches apart.
- Embroider the little smile in backstitch on the candle at Rnd 12 with colour D. Centred under the eyes, about 3 stitches wide, curving up at both ends.
- Sew the flame to the candle at Rnd 1. Point up, centred on the flat top (the magic ring end).
- Thread a length of colour C through the tip of the flame and tie into a hanging loop.
- Weave in all ends.
