Assembly

  1. The magic ring end of the Body is the top of the snail's head. Stuff the Tail lightly.
  2. Sew the tail to the body between Rnds 12 and 13. On the back at the bottom, its open end flat against the Body and its point running straight back along the table.
  3. Sew the shell to the body between Rnds 7 and 11. On the back, resting on the Tail, so the Shell's magic ring faces sideways.
  4. Embroider the spiral in chain stitch on the shell around Rnds 1-5 with colour A. On the outer side, starting at the magic ring and circling outwards about two and a half turns.
  5. Embroider the tiny eyes on the body at Rnd 4 with colour C. On the front, about 4 stitches apart.
  6. Sew the bow to the body at Rnd 7. Centred on the front below the eyes, pinched in the middle.
  7. Thread a length of colour A through the top of the head and tie it into a hanging loop.
  8. Weave in all ends.
