What you'll make
3 pieces (Apple, Stem, Leaf), 23 rounds in all, every round with its stitch count written at the end so you can check as you go.
Tips
- Work in continuous spiral rounds and move your stitch marker up every round.
- Count your stitches at the end of each round; the number in brackets is what you should have.
- Use a hook a size smaller than your yarn label suggests, so the stuffing doesn't show.

Assembly
- Stuff the Apple firmly before closing it. The magic ring end of the Apple is its top.
- Embroider the small round patch around the top where the stem sits on the apple around Rnds 1-2 with colour B. Filled in with satin stitch, so the drips start from it.
- Embroider the three lime-green drips in chain stitch on the apple around Rnds 3-7 with colour B. Starting at the edge of the top patch and running straight down the side, across the front of the apple about 5 sts apart, of different lengths (3, 4 and 5 rounds).
- Sew the stem to the apple at Rnd 1. Standing straight up out of the centre of the top patch.
- Sew the leaf to the apple at Rnd 4. Pinch two opposite sides of the circle into points first, so it is leaf shaped; sew it beside the stem, pointing up and out.
- Thread a length of colour C through the top of the Stem and tie into a hanging loop.
- Weave in all ends.
