Assembly

  1. Stuff the Body firmly before closing it, and leave a long tail of colour A.
  2. Embroider the two small eyes on the body at Rnd 7 with colour B. About 7 stitches apart.
  3. Embroider the small triangle beak in satin stitch on the body around Rnds 8-9 with colour C. Centred between and just below the eyes.
  4. Sew the belly to the body between Rnds 12 and 14. Centred on the front.
  5. Flatten each flipper; do not stuff them.
  6. Sew the flippers to the body between Rnds 9 and 10. One on each side, angled down and out.
  7. Sew the feet to the body at Rnd 18. Side by side at the front of the base, flat side down, pointing forward, so it stands on them.
  8. Sew the bow to the body between Rnds 1 and 2. On the very top of the head, pinched in the middle, standing upright.
  9. Thread a length of colour A through the top of the head, behind the bow, and tie into a hanging loop.
  10. Weave in all ends.
