FREE  Lesson 5 of 10

Increase (inc)

An increase is two single crochets in the same stitch. Every increase adds one stitch to the round, so six increases turn 6 stitches into 12.

Practice it: Pine Cone Ornament (free pattern)

We rebuilt this pattern in 3D from its written text and checked all 15 rounds' stitch counts. That checks the counts and the shape, not your yarn or tension.
